Mounted Power Strip

I use my sawhorses for all kinds of woodworking duties that require a number of power tools to come out in a single session. This means me continually plugging and unplugging the tools from an extension cord. To make this all simpler, I mounted a power strip to one of my sawhorses with a bonus feature to help wrangle the cord.

Skeleton Vise

Exposed gears add pizzazz to this shop-made bench vise, but its strong grip adds plenty of brawn to the beauty. This vise is a twin-screw design, so turning one handle causes both to rotate, moving the vise jaw in or out equally on both sides for even clamping pressure across the face.

Monterey Cabinet

A lesser-known West Coast design style inspired this dining room showpiece. Bold curves, a rich stain, and solid joinery make it a fun project to build.

Phil's Planer Cart

Many of the projects from our magazine often inspire modifications to the original design into something that suits our readers' specific needs. In this case, one of our table saw carts moved Phil to build a cart adapted to hold his planer. Check it out here.
