Part 8: Making the Lid

The showpiece of the dresser top valet is the curved fluted lid. While the lid begins as a flat workpiece, you shape both the flutes and the curve in a single routing operation using a core box bit. A quick trip to the table saw and some hand work rounds out the final shape.
